Your account
One account, two devices. Sign out safely, delete everything when you mean to, and know what the Founding Practice actually promises.
Your Kept account is the email or Apple or Google identity you signed in with. Everything you keep belongs to it, not to a device.
Sign out
Settings → Sign out. Kept clears this device's copy of your data so two accounts never mix. If changes are still waiting to sync, a sheet says 3 changes haven't synced and offers Wait for sync or, when some were refused, Go back and review, beside Sign out and discard. Wait when you can; pending changes finish within moments online, while refused ones need a Try again or a Discard. Signing out also clears this account's scheduled reminders and pending Undo offers on the device.
You do not need to sign out to switch devices. Sign in on the second device and both stay signed in.
Delete your account
On iPhone, Delete account sits at the very bottom of Settings. On Mac, open Account → Account & data, then Delete account…. Read the sheet: everything personal in your account goes, on the server and on every device. Records that belong to an organization you worked in may be retained under its policies, and if you still hold shared work there, Kept asks you to hand it over first. It cannot be undone. If something blocks deletion, the message names the reason and privacy@thesis.do is the person to write to.
If you signed in with Apple on an older build, Kept may ask you to Confirm with Apple once so it can revoke Apple's credential as part of deletion. No Apple password or token is stored in the app.
Deleting the account does not cancel an App Store subscription if you ever have one; Apple manages that.
The Founding Practice
Some beta accounts receive an invitation to the Founding Practice. Accepting it reserves a benefit that is recorded on your account and stated in the invitation; the in-app page that shows it is not in this build:
- The first twenty-four months of Kept Pro are included when Kept Pro launches for founding members.
- Beta time does not count against that period.
- Published practice milestones can add six complimentary months, and a carry-forward milestone can reserve half off the first paid year after that.
- A day without a mark, skipping feedback, not referring anyone, and not filing bugs remove nothing.
The benefit is attached to the eligible account. Feedback is always optional, and bug reports never change it.
Plans and billing today
There is no charge. Creating an account, installing the beta, and using Kept cost nothing, and the app contains no purchase flow. If a paid plan arrives later, Apple will show the product, price, and period before you confirm anything. See Plans and billing.
