What Kept remembers
Kept keeps a small set of facts about you so the assistant does not ask twice. Read them, correct them, forget them.
The assistant is more useful when it knows that you run on Tuesdays, that "the board" means Thursday's meeting, and that you would rather be asked than nudged. Kept keeps those facts in a memory you can read in full.
See what is remembered
Open Settings → Assistant context on iPhone or Settings → Assistant → Data on Mac. Each memory shows the sentence Kept keeps and where it came from: something you said, something you captured, or something Kept inferred overnight. Add a memory of your own with Remember something. Forget removes one; Keep pins one you want to survive.
Where memories come from
- You. Anything you tell the assistant to remember, and anything you add in Settings.
- Overnight learning. With Cloud AI allowed and nightly reflection on, Kept reviews recently changed tasks, notes, habits, meals, workouts, sleep, and calendar events in small batches and writes short facts it can cite. A memory made this way keeps a link to its source, so correcting or deleting the source retires the memory.
- Never from raw health measurements. Habit check-ins that came from Apple Health are remembered as check-ins, not as numbers.
Expired or superseded memories are left out of every answer. If Kept cannot verify what a memory may be used for, it leaves that memory out.
Your identity statement
The line under your name in the drawer is your identity statement: who you are choosing to be. Edit it from your profile. It informs the assistant's tone and the plan's sense of what matters, and it appears on the Identity widget.
Contacts
The assistant can recognize people you mention often. Settings → Assistant contacts shows who Kept knows and lets you remove anyone. Kept never reads your address book without asking.
Turn it off
Turn off Cloud AI and overnight learning stops. Existing memories stay until you forget them. Deleting your account removes them all.
