Do
What Do does in Kept 2.0, who has it, its introduction, and its own Cloud AI permission.
Do is a conversation on iPhone that answers questions and drafts text from what you keep. In Kept 2.0, Kept turns Do on account by account, so it may not appear for you yet; everything else in Kept works the same without it. Kept for Mac has no Do in this release. Its introduction offers Try Do and Not now. Try Do asks for Do's own Cloud AI permission the first time, even if Cloud AI is already on for the rest of Kept. Nothing is granted by closing the introduction.
What Do does in Kept 2.0
Do answers from your notes, tasks, People list and the next 14 days of your Kept calendar, and drafts text, shown in full, for you to copy or use. That is the whole list in this release. Do does not save or create tasks or notes, create or change calendar events, set reminders, send email or messages, book, spend money, place calls, browse or open web pages, or use connected accounts, and texting Do is not part of Kept 2.0. Ask for one of those and Do says it cannot do it in this release. When Do cannot take your message at all, it says so, your words come back, and Ask Kept offers to try them there. Apple Calendar events stay on your device and are not sent to Do.
Your iPhone shows a short acknowledgment the moment you send. The answer itself comes from Kept's server; the app holds no model keys.
Your Do conversations
Your conversations are saved in your account so you can come back to them. Kept 2.0 has no way to delete a single conversation; deleting your account removes them all. See Your account.
Return to Do
On iPhone, open Settings → Privacy → Cloud AI for Do. When Do is off, the row says “Turn it on to ask Do again.” Turn on reopens the introduction. Choose Try Do, then allow Cloud AI when asked. Do opens once your account confirms permission. If that does not go through, you can try again and your unsent words stay with you.
When Do is on, Review introduction opens it again. Turn off withdraws Do permission and closes Do. The Settings row stays available so you can turn it on again with your own permission. Not now and declining permission keep that way back available too.
Approval cards
Approval cards are for changes, and Do in Kept 2.0 makes none, so they do not appear in this release. A card shows the proposed change and its terms: Approve authorizes that exact proposal, and Cancel leaves it unapproved. Words in the conversation never approve a card.
Turn global Cloud AI off
Turning Settings → Privacy → Cloud AI off on iPhone or Mac also withdraws Do permission, even though Mac has no Do conversation in this release. New Do sends stop on that device immediately. If you are offline, the account withdrawal waits for a connection. Turning global Cloud AI back on keeps Do off. Return to Cloud AI for Do → Turn on on iPhone to choose Do permission again once the withdrawal has synced.
